We are camping in the beautiful Bale Mountains park at a local campsite. The locals say the word as bahhlay. We have seen the very rare almost extinct Ethiopian Wolf and the Nyala.

It is well above 16000 ft here and the temps at night are near freezing. We are our own camp cooks. Here is the crew early on a cold morning prepping for a hot breakfast. I talked to travelers from Iceland and Tasmania while warthogs rooted around the tent. It’s good!
