We camped at Kande beach on Lake Malawi. It is a massive lake and very beautiful. Some of our group sitting on the beach.

A nice spot to pitch your tent
Beautiful, but you can’t swim and are discouraged from going on the beach after dark. The is a nearby lagoon with large crocodiles. It is possible for them to swim out into the lake, although it was not common. I swam in the daytime and felt safe.
Kande Beach resort. You can buy wifi and wireless minutes here. There is a nice bar too.
You can get a goat roasted and we did so. I don’t have pictures of the finished product but did get in on the beginning.
